We are delighted to welcome guests to our beautifully appointed Bed and Breakfast and especially to share our magnificent view. Blessed by being so wonderfully situated close to the Gem Town of Cockermouth (Wordworth’s Birthplace) and with magnificent views across the River Derwent to Skiddaw, it is a true joy to us to see our guests relaxing in this great setting.
Our main aim for our B&B is that guests feel they are being cared for and spoiled by the comfort and service we offer and the excellent food we take pleasure in providing. A touch of luxury in the en-suite accommodation is intended to soothe the soul and help you unwind. The spacious, guest-dedicated lounge is exclusive to our guests and you can spend time here admiring the view, playing chess, enjoying a snack, reading or ruminating on an outing you have undertaken in the beautiful Western Lake District.
We are ideally situated for various adventures as we are near to popular Whinlatter Forest, Keswick and Derwent Water, with great access to the wonderfully scenic lakes Bassenthwaite, Buttermere, Crummock, Ennerdale and Loweswater as well as to the Solway Coast

P.S. Please note we are closing for some days in November and also in December and January to complete work on our planned third bedroom for next season. The coordination of tradespeople can be challenging so we do not know at present how long or as yet, which dates exactly this will take place. As always, you are our priority so please feel free to drop us a line to ask if we have availability on the dates you wish to come. Rest assured, we are here for our guests whenever possible!
