Relax with the stunning views of Lake District Mountains across the River Derwent to Cockermouth
At our gem Bed and Breakfast, we are delighted to offer you the spacious, comfortable lounge for your exclusive use. It affords a panoramic vista of Lake District mountains, the river Derwent and the Gem Town of Cockermouth. Here you can really relax and soak up the view. Apart from the cosy sofa seating area there are further tables and very comfortable leather and walnut chairs for your use. This lounge-diner is also where we serve our delicious breakfasts, freshly cooked to order and according to your personal wishes.
Your personal fridge with fresh milk (supplied free of charge) is to be found in the hallway near the bedrooms for your convenience.
The lounge-diner is not only for breakfast and the various comfortable seating areas are also ideal for reading or playing chess and board games during the day time and evenings. At our B&B you are welcome to bring in a snack for lunch or supper, enjoy a glass of your favourite beverage or simply soak up the view here. We provide extra cutlery and crockery (at a small charge) to be used in these areas. The lounge has direct access to a generous decking with a sustainable teak table and matching chairs. Two charming English cottage garden areas, a good-sized lawn, various seating areas and marvellous views help you relax and unwind. We also have a Zen garden which, admittedly not typically Cumbrian, nevertheless contributes to the calming and relaxing atmosphere to be found at Westwood as in the scenery of the Lakes.
