Does Westwood B&B have great views to the Lake District National Park?
Yes, Westwood – The B&B with a view offers expansive views over the river Derwent to the Lake District mountains such as Skiddaw and the Grassmoor range. Take advantage of our various seating areas, where you can enjoy the panoramic views. Put your feet up and unwind in the beautifully tended garden so you can read, relax and find respite from a busy life in the peace and quiet we offer here.
We also offer guests a spacious guest lounge with comfortable leather seating, a relaxing reading room and also a furnished decking area which is exclusively for their use.
Can I book an exclusive stay at Westwood B&B?
Yes, if you want all the comfort of a B&B with a deliciously prepared breakfast and in addition all the privacy of a holiday home, we are happy to arrange an exclusive stay for you at our B&B for an extra charge, depending on the time of the year. Please contact us to check conditions.
Do you have a choice of breakfast dishes?
Yes, you will find an extensive choice of breakfast dishes on offer for our guests at Westwood – The B&B with a view and a delicious à la carte breakfast menu but for a fixed price. You can order extras, too, for a small extra charge. We also cater for Vegan, Vegetarian & Gluten Free diets. While we endeavour to cater for guests with food preferences, intolerances and allergies, we ask that you let us know in advance what you require.
At Westwood, we offer a LITE BITE menu for guests who have a smaller appetite in the morning. The price is therefore also smaller!
Do you have free parking?
Yes, Westwood – The B&B with a view offers free parking in our own grounds for guests. Two marked parking spaces, which are close to the house, are available. One for each room.
Do your rooms have fast WiFi?
At Westwood B&B we have fibre broadband and offer guests free Wi-Fi and high-speed download throughout the whole house. Your code will be in your room.
How accessibility friendly is the Westwood guest accommodation?
At Westwood – The B&B with a view all rooms are on one level. There are, however, four steps with two handrails up into the porch and two steps with a grabrail into the hall. All WCs are at comfort height for our guests and grabrails are also provided.
Is Westwood dog or other pet friendly?
As an anti-allergy B&B we are sorry but we can’t allow pets.
Can I book a room only stay at Westwood B&B?
From this year we are offering guests a room only price and a choice of a Lite Bite or an à la carte breakfast menu, so all options are open for our guests.
Can I bring snacks & takeaways to Westwood B&B?
We offer guests the convenience of extra crockery and cutlery (at a small extra charge) to use for afternoon or evening snacks and also provide extra bins to dispose of various types of packaging.
Westwood – The B&B with a view provides a small fridge for each room where guests can store drinks or snacks for their own use. We also provide fresh milk and chilled filtered water in these fridges.
I originally booked without breakfast – can I change my mind?
We are happy to accommodate changes – please just contact us the day before you want breakfast, either directly when here or before your stay on 01900 826474 or 07389 187119.
Do you provide a safe?
We provide a safe in each guest bedroom and the code is changed for every guest and therefore always unique to you.
